MEETING OVERVIEW

The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm with a short welcome address, and introduction of all parties present and teams represented. We then took a look at the prior year financials and took a headcount on returning teams. In both cases, the information was favorable.


The league kept a number of teams, lost a few teams, and have received calls from new teams looking to join us for the 2012 season. Early commitments resulted in 9/12 of the Monday league being filled up and 5/8 of the Thursday league being filled.


In a move to fill the final open slots, the members in attendance, voted unaimously to REDUCE league entry fees. This move not only makes the FMSPL more attractive, but helps us use some of the surplus money that was earned over the last few seasons.


There was discussion about ending the league raffle, but it was utlimtately decided that the raffle would stay, with some minor modifications to our process for collecting tickets, collecting money and dates for paying out to the winners (details of that will be finalized and explained at the next league meeting.

Due on March 1st. $100 of this fee is non-refundable

Due on March 31st. Each team sells 200 raffle tickets ($2 per ticket)

TOTAL FEE

$750.00

This is the TOTAL amount of money that is due to the league


League fees include 2 weeks of on-field practice time, 3 dozen game balls, a 30 game season and all umpire and league management fees.


League raffle-

  1. Teams are NOT required to sell the raffle tickets. If you elect not to sell the tickets, you must pay the $400 fee.

  2. Any team that elects to sell more than the required 200 tickets can do so. For each ticket sold over the minimum, your team will get a $1 rebate on each ticket sold.

Regular Season

28 game guarantee. 14 weeks of double headers.

LEAGUE ENTRIES

The league can take a maximum of 12 entries on MONDAY and 8 entries on THURSDAY


Entries to the league will be accepted on a first-to-pay basis.
